an extra cup'a'joe and other things..

*
. . because some mornings require a few more ounces of liquid life to truly begin one's day with the necessary amount of umpfh. the pooch and i (for wherever and whenever i go she goes) were up at 5am .. fairly typical. sometimes earlier but rarely later. while my coffee brewed i went outside with her so she could piddle and sniff and wag her tail. while she did her thing, i stretched my limbs and back - bringing ease of movement to my still sleepy self. inside, the pooch found her place on the couch while i poured the 'joe' and added just a tich of real cream. situated next to the pooch, we sat in relative darkness and watched for the first morning light to appear. and then with a deep cleansing breath i declare it's morning.

a praise report...
a set of parents who like us have 'lost' their daughter (same program same allegations).. now have a glimmer of restorative hope. so happy for them! will continue praying, for them, for us, and for the *many* other families effected by this nightmare.

yesterday i prepared material (washed, ironed, cut) to make new {vintage} trailer curtains. will share more on that at a later time.

since going through the situation with our daughter, i've realized on a personal level who my friends really are. nothing like trauma and isolation to determine such truths. i'm thankful for those who chose to stand with me (even from afar), support and pray .. even though they didn't know what was going on. so precious to my heart - those who truly love. may God bless each of your sweet hearts.

trying to make wise food choices...
breakfast this morning was greek yogurt and grains. lunch will be a kale & chicken salad. dinner? most likely a pasta salad with loads of broccoli, black olives, parmesan, garlic, sundried tomatoes, & red onion. last night i hit our local trader joe's and spied a container of fresh pineapple, mango, watermelon, and papaya. i couldn't resist. swOon.

and as much as i'd prefer to remain in my favorite outfit which happens to be a long white cotton nightgown with the right amount of eyelet lace at the top - - - i need to bathe, dress, take the pooch for a much needed walk ... and get busy.

bless you dearly this day and every day . .
