groceries: savory hand pies

the temp was a sultry 90-something
when i decided to make a few
hand pies.
setting the oven to 350
i got to work
cuz who doesn't like
a hot kitchen
a hot day
a hot chick
{and by hot i mean menopausal}.

leftover veggies can be used
but i chose to include
one heirloom tomato, egg wash,
mediterranean feta, and a pie crust.
that's it.

put a little tomato slice and feta on half the pie crust circle, brush a little egg wash around the edge of one side, fold over, use a vintage military fork (or whatever you have nearby but a military fork ensures deliciousness) to secure the hand pie with a cute little design, then egg wash the whole shabang. ta da! bake at 350 for about 20 minutes and you'll have a savory treat to be sure!

  1. That looks much delish! Pinned, and I'll have to try!

  2. Yummy! I need to think of these kinds of things more often!
