simply put ..
i began by peeling a couple sweet potatoes. you can use any variety (yams, sweet pots, oriental yams etc).. after peeling i cut them in 1 inch slices and nuked them til barely fork tender. then in my thrifted wooden bowl they went, along with chunks of onion (red is all i had and it worked quite well with this dish), bell pepper (i never use green), and chicken/apple sausage cut on the diagonal. after drizzling a bit of Hawaiian bbq sauce i tossed the mess well and the hubs threw it in the grill basket and saw to its completion. some arugula went into my bowl along with the grilled assortment .. hubs just wanted the assortment.
delish and pretty meal.
