imperfection.

"As humanity we only see the imperfect, underside of God's tapestry of our lives. What we judge to be 'tragic - the most dreaded thing that could happen,' i expect we'll one day see as the awesome reason for the beauty and uniqueness of our life and our family. I think that's why James 1:2 is a favorite verse of mine. Phillips' translation put it this way: 'When all kinds of trials and temptations crowd into your lives, my brothers,
don't resent them as intruders
but welcome them as friends."

{Elisabeth Elliot}

  1. Yes. An old favorite poem of mine says we see the underside of the weaving - the threads and knots and cross-threads. He sees the top. And it is a thing of beauty. One day we will see as He sees!

  7. At supper tonight we were just talking about God's sovereignty. It takes might faith to trust in it. I often find myself praying *Lord help my unbelief.* I want to trust Him in the bad as well as the good. And i do ,but not nearly enough. You are a blessing to share this!! ~tammy
