morning moment.

.. .. .. and in the very early morn
He reminds me yet again to trust.
i pray .. then void of sleep
i pad to the kitchen to brew
liquid life. finding my pooch
on the guest bed i put a blankie
over both of us and snuggle.
she makes feel-good sounds
and drifts to sleep ..
her soft snoring is comforting.
at least one of us can sleep, hm?
in the next room is my
sweet man, mimicking evelyn's
cadence in deep rest.
and life? is sweet this morning.

"He awakens me morning by morning,
He awakens my ear to listen as a disciple."
Isaiah 50.4b

with roses loveliness, a 55 reader's digest,
and a dear to me mug filled with strong brew.

until next time,

I'm so glad on mornings like this that I INSIST ON GOOD COFFEE. No coffee make believe-real coffee w real cream[half and half does qualify].

  3. A beautiful summary of a perfect morning. Complete with new mercies.

This brought back memories of my own precious doggy, and snoozing on the guest bed in early hours of the day xxx. Thanks for that, and these wonderful images.

    1. Hi, just now seeing.this :-)

My Lucky was a mutt - our best guess was Basset Chow Beagle. He was the only one of his kind, or so I often told him. I sure miss that sweet boy. I was blessed to have him for 15 years.

      Thanks for asking!

    1. the words **as a disciple** captured my attention. as a disciple, what is my response, my attention, my stance, and my placement? things to consider - deeply.
