thanksgiving 2015.. menu.

admitting to a hint of a rebellious side,
our typical thanksgiving does not
necessarily include turkey
although last year i made one.
but as a rule? nope.
the pilgrims enjoyed eel
as one of the dishes that 1st T-day.
do you serve your guests eel?
didn't think so. wink.
a couple years back i made
a complete German meal.

another year we served
rib eyes and some traditional
side dishes with great response.
this year? well ..

not your typical
Thanksgiving menu ..
though i doubt anyone will
walk away hungry
or be denied of some good grub.
dinner's at 4.
and oh by golly i forgot to share
i'm also making
cranberry jalapeno chutney.
i left my brain around here somewhere ..

.. the happiest of thanksgiving's ..
you're loved & appreciated

sherry

p.s. that mile high apple pie? here's a picture of one i made in a lasteryear time... it's taller than it appears in this picture. and so delish.

  1. Sounds perfect! Our Thanksgiving will be traditional - at our son's home - with my contribution of a harvest-type salad, baked sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. Happy Thanksgiving, dear friend.
