the love month.

. . . not that a particular month need be devoted to the heart and emotion of all things romantic, though i sure like that part of it for sure and for certain. my marriage and it's smoochy wonderfulness is pretty neato .. but it wouldn't be what it is today without heartache, struggle, and trial - mixed with the love and commitment and desire to be one all under the precious watchfulness and leading of Christ.

. . . and Christ? He is the true romancer of our souls. He opens the door allowing us entrance to everlasting life if we are but willing, patching our hearts and soothing our aching souls. we are made whole - beautiful. an eternal glory.

  1. Your post is a perfectly wonderful way to begin my day and a new month, Sherry. Our anniversary is Valentine's Day (6 years!) and now more than ever I realize how important the word "commitment" is to marriage. I adore the heart. Did you make it? Beautiful words you wrote to go with it. Love, Nancy

  5. Sherry God knows where your heart is, and without all the trials and tribulations he sets before us we would not become to know the word, the truth in all he commands of us.
Blessed you are to know love, and blessed we are to share in it this February month with you.

The red linen patched heart is a true testimony to what a heart goes through, and how it can hold up lovingly stitched by our beholder.

  6. So true - and I love the sweet, patched heart you found to illustrate what you said. We all have patched hearts and, yet, God can us use to mend and heal the broken hearts of other. Because HE mended ours.
