comfort food etc.

"When she is quiet, there is a reason.
She is sorting through all the chaos
in her head .. and all the madness
in her heart." ~LLK

as i type ...
soup - low simmer - melding flavors.
white beans, shallots, herbs a'plenty,
bacon, carrot, tomato, garlic,
chicken stock .. and finally,
about 10 minutes before serving..spinach.
this, & a deli purchased sweet french baguette
will offer our taste buds
gastronomic happiness.
all this on a cool and somewhat rainy day.

"behind my smile .. is a story you would
not understand" unless it happened to you.

the hubs took me grocery shopping
this evening. we're both a bit low and
togetherness is sought. staying close.
we're not surprised or shocked
how the enemy works . .
and yet,
learning something knew
pierced both our hearts.

"find rest oh my soul, in God alone."  psalm 62:5
on the heap and tumble of cares.

"set your mind on things above.." colossians 3:2

" . . . and the things of earth will grow strangely
dim in the light of His mercy and grace."
~Helen Lemmel

By faith alone, I trust in his word, Amen.
Comfort food indeed. Up late, finishing some late sewing, off to the studio early morning, and soup and stew bowls are on my mind :)

Xx
A fine day to you my dear, and a Beautifully blessed Easter if not before.

Soup is to the tummy what God's word is to the soul. Satisfying, warm, comforting, delicious. Elisabeth Elliott's words ring true. Such a wise woman, and a great legacy she left us. I made ham and anasazi bean soup yesterday. It makes the cottage smell so wonderful. Hugs, dear friend. And Happy Easter if we don't talk before. ~ Nancy

Sherry, soup looks delicious. I cannot go into details about what I have been investigating for the last 8 years and the misery that follows. There are times I melt from discouragement. Gotta keep on keeping on. Praying for you.
Spring Blessings,

So many times I want to say something to let you know that I care, but I know that the hurt is deep and it seems I cannot put into words what I want to say, so I leave it alone and pray. I'm praying for you.

I have the MOST wonderful soup recipe I want to share with you, your going to love it!

I'll email.

Rest in Him.

This touches my heart, and ignites prayers on your behalf.

BTW, the soup sounds amazing; hearty soup is a tonic for a rainy day, sure to bring a boost.

Prayers, please, for safe travels in April, I'll be on the road, in the air, in France and Amsterdam, plus Germany (where I live). These days I am trusting God and paying close attention. Thanks for asking!
