checking in.

we're back from the northern california coast.
manchester beach is just south of mendocino,
a lovely little town all its own. we were part of
a vintage trailerite gathering. such a nice time
with a great mix of people. how could you
not have a great time with these views taken
on a short drive.

i must admit .. on the way to manchester i became very woozy
even after taking a motion sick pill. the roads were scary curvy.. .blech. .erp.
if you catch my drift..

we were supposed to meet up with one of our nieces who lives in eureka .. but we'd need to drive a couple hours through the same very curvy area .. two times in one day .. there .. and back. i just couldn't do it. i felt terrible about cancelling but i'd be in shape to carry a conversation much less have a bite to eat. sigh.

when we were ready to travel home (we didn't want to leave!) i took my motion sick pill and we chose to drive south on highway 1 then cut over through petaluma. it was MUCH easier on me! whew. we've already reserved our site for 4 nights in 2017 for the same gathering event. we'll drive north on highway 1 rather than venture the scary curvy way. whew.

this is our pretty sweet trailer
in her equally sweet site
at the campground.

oh. did i tell you the high temp was 62?

It all looks and sounds swoony, other than the windy road.

Glad you found a nice way home.

Beautiful pics of the California coast. I am familiar with Mendocino. My parents had friends who lived there, and every year their friends would dive for abalone. It's such a pretty area. So glad you got to visit. Your trailer is charming, Sherry. Sorry you got queasy on the ride getting to your destination. I don't like those curvy roads either, they scare me.

Wonderful. That is our high for the day too. Motion sickness pills do nothing for me!

So sorry about the motion sickness, but I'm glad you were able to get away for some fun. Love your little trailer. So cute. Hugs, Nancy
