peachy keen.

early this morning i walked out to the back patio to stroll with the precious pooch.. as i gazed to the right i saw that our dwarf peach tree's fruit is in the height of blush. quickly grabbing my camera i took a few shots to commemorate such beauty on this july day, anticipating the annual peach pies i'll make.

enough for two pies every year ..
wondering if there will be enough
for a third .. and hoping that's the case.

selah ... think on this:

  2. Oh, peach pie sounds wonderful, Sherry. To see the peach tree during the month of July must be a sight for you! I hope you're able to make three pies, wouldn't that be nice? And the verse goes perfect with this sweet post.

    1. i'm waiting patiently (kind of..) for the peaches to ripen.. so until then i'm enjoyed a little glass of milk with ice in it .. and a straw. somehow it's just not the same thing. wink.

  6. Canning some of your keen peaches would be great to have on hand. Peach cobbler and peach pie, and peach Ice cream yum!
Even fresh chilled peaches for a snake, wonderful to have such beautiful producing peach trees.

    1. yes.. i've canned peaches (farmers market) before as well as other fruits including 80 pounds of white concord grapes (into syrup and jelly) from just outside our kitchen window. this dwarf peach tree will yield enough peaches for 2 .. maybe 3 if we're very fortunate .. pies. :)

  7. Hi Sherry. Just stopping by this morning to see your lovely blog and say "hello". Been thinking about you a lot. Lovely photos. Fresh peach pie is one of my two favorite desserts. The other is strawberry shortcake. All other sweets fail in comparison. Love, Nancy
