blueberry moment.

"The business of life
is the acquisition of memories."
~Mr. Carson, Downton Abbey

many years whence ..
our little family was whole,
with serendipity at its height,
and home school charmed,
we used a sweet unit study series
called Five in a Row.
one of the books greatly enjoyed was
Blueberries for Sal
by Robert McCloskey.

as i assembled our salad the other night,
seeing the frozen blueberries offered
precious memories of that book,
unit study, fun activities, learning adventures,
and of course my beloved daughter..
her silly giggle and snuggling self.
such a lovely time of life ..
one i'm so very thankful to recall.

blueberries, kale, radicchio, walnuts

Oh, this salad looks tasty, Sherry. Never thought of putting blueberries in a salad before. We do have wonderful memories. Hold on tight to yours, my dear, and I will do the same. :) This sounds like a children's book?

So glad the Lord is bringing to mind the sweet blessings and that you are able to thank Him. The broken vessel is oozing the sweetness of our Lord. He loves you so.
