a vintage finish.

i have a plethora of creamware platters..
using one to pile some of my
vintage christmas bulbs was a good decision.
most of my bulbs are silver
but a few are soft pink, yellow, white, and even
a dainty delicate turquoise number made its
way to the very tippy top of the heap.

and .. oh look!
a picture of me.
look close .. the reflection.
the camera - and moi.

i love how the finish has rubbed off with age.
hm. personal significance. me too! wink.

  1. Nonsense! Your finish hasn't rubbed off, it has only taken on a lovely patina. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! I'll have to go to the attic and find my oldies soon. Really soon.

  3. Sherry, your vintage bulbs in pink, silver, and yellow are pretty, and they remind me of the ones my mom put on her tree. She had red balls all over her tree with lights and a little tinsel. I think the creamware platter is just right to hold your vintage bulbs. :)

red bulbs on a tree with tinsel sprinklings .. gorgeous.
we had to put the tinsel on .. ONE AT A TIME. it was a rule.
      with lovely result.
