berry sweet.

a couple visitors showed up on my porch last night
all the way from a town in northern oregon.
so good to hug her .. it's been entirely too long.
i knew they were on their way and knew i'd feed them ..
.dinner and dessert.
the dessert was tasty
but their company was sweetest.

the rustic berry tart turned out to be more rustic than anticipated, but nonetheless enjoyed with a dollop of sugar free whipped cream on top. conversation flowed and touched on many subjects .. and by quarter past 9 they were on their way .. back to their beautiful travel trailer in a pretty and quiet spot just north. today we'll have time together .. a bit of lunch here at the house, then head to the shop where i work, to another, and maybe another depending .. then back to my house for rest and maybe a kitty kat nap, then out for dinner.

the forecast is cloudy with a chance of meatballs .. hm.
i'll bring the umbrella.

  1. Sherry, how nice that your blog friend came to visit you. The berry tart looks scrumptious. I've only met one blog friend in person. We lived in the same town, and she owned a vintage shop in town that I used to go to all the time. So wish I could meet more. Your friend came all the way from Oregon, how lovely.

    Happy Easter to you, Sherry.

  4. My dear friend, it was SO wonderful to be with you again. Being in your home, meeting your precious Evie and feasting at your table was a treasure to my heart. Our day together was such a special day. I am glad the predicted 'meatballs' did happen.
